Direct Support Professional

Looking for an energetic candidate to fill a full-time direct care position working with adults
who experience an intellectual disability and/or serious mental illness. This person will create an
atmosphere that promotes independence, personal decision making, and self-sufficiency,
including involvement in the community. This position implements and documents experiences
for the people supported. Provide transportation for regular experiences in the community. Carry
out behavior treatment plans, assistance with activities of daily living, physical assistance,
personal care tasks, passing medication, etc.
Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working with people
who have a developmental disability/mental illness is preferred. Must be willing to attend and
complete paid training including group home curriculum and CPR and First Aid. Possession of
a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license is required. Must have the physical ability to
carry out the typical job duties.
Pay Range

Base rate of $14.30 per hour. Benefits include employer-sponsored health and life insurance,

Secretary II
Full-time position available to support services provided by North Bay. Responsible for supporting a diverse group of staff and Community Living Support service participants. Duties include reception, scheduling, data entry and collection, preparing meeting agendas and notes, answering a multi-line phone, petty cash, and other secretarial duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior secretarial experience. Must meet agency standards for secretarial skills including competence with Microsoft Office Suite, reception, and the use of multi-line phones. Prior experience in a medical or behavioral health setting preferred. Must be flexible and able to demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity, maintain confidentiality and work independently.

Pay Range

Intensive Case Management Specialist
Provides intensive, short-term supports to individuals with acute psychiatric symptoms in order to avoid more restrictive care settings and to maximize opportunities for recovery and desired quality of life. Functions as a part of an interdisciplinary team serving adults with serious mental illness. Participates in the Person-Centered Planning team to assist in the coordination and provision of services to individuals within the Agency and the community. Responsible for strength-based recovery assessment, plan development, linking, referring, coordinating, monitoring medications and symptoms, advocacy and administrative duties in support of empowerment and self-determination. Assists in the development and implementation of crisis/safety/relapse plan.

Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with current Michigan social work license, along with 3-5 years of experience providing service to persons who experience a serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders required. Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and availability of reliable transportation for outreach work.

Infant Mental Health Specialist
Provides service to optimize the social, emotional and cognitive development of infants who are at risk of experiencing disorders in attachment and separation with their primary care givers. Provides psychotherapeutic intervention, developmental guidance, case management and crisis intervention. Provides consultation and education to the community.

Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in social work, clinical psychology or psychiatric nursing with current Michigan licensure appropriate to field of study is required. Clinical Specialist – Crisis Stabilization/Mobile Response
$1,000 signing bonus! Completes preadmission screenings for individuals requesting crisis stabilization services to determine eligibility for program services and/or to recommend an alternative level of care. Conducts brief assessments. Provides crisis intervention, short-term and solution-focused counseling, and intensive case management services in the individual’s home when appropriate. Facilitates individual’s transition to appropriate aftercare service. Works Monday – Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 12 midnight with availability to stay beyond if needed for crisis response.

Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work with current Michigan licensure. A master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling with current Michigan licensure appropriate to the field of study preferred. LMSW preferred. Must have two years of experience working in the mental health field with proven crisis intervention skills. Knowledge of substance use disorders with current CAADC credential preferred. Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and availability of reliable transportation for
outreach work.

Salary
Salary range for Bachelor’s credential $49,883 – $61,712; salary range for Master’s credential $59,336 – $72,279 dependent on status of credential and experience, plus exceptional fringes including employer sponsored training, pension, and insurance. $1,000 signing bonus!

Access & Emergency Services Specialist
Responsible for completing telephonic or in-person clinical screenings and/or brief assessments of persons requesting behavioral health services. Makes determination of appropriate level of care and eligibility for referrals to the public behavioral health system, which may include acute care services, specialty mental health services, substance use disorder services, or diversion to alternative non-specialty mental health services. Shift available for 9 PM – 7 AM. Must have weekend availability.

Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, with current Michigan Social Work license required. Prefer a minimum of two years of experience in the behavioral health field providing services to children/adolescents and/or two years of experience working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must be proficient in the use of technology and possess a high level of customer service skills/phone etiquette. Prior experience completing mental health evaluations and an
understanding of clinical diagnoses based on the current DSM V is required. Familiarity with managed care philosophy, systems and procedures is preferred.

Psychiatrist
Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide outpatient psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, medication review and treatment to individuals in need of specialty psychiatric services. Services are provided in a culturally competent and trauma informed manner that focuses on a person-centered approach. In addition, prepare treatment plans, coordinate and communicate clinical decision making with input from the individual and other providers (case managers, PCPs, etc.) to ensure care is provided in a recovery-based and integrated approach. In addition, this candidate will serve as a collaborating physician for mid-level practitioners.

Qualifications
Requires M.D. or D.O. degree. Required Michigan Medical license, valid DEA required. Recognized Board Certification/eligibility preferred. Clinical experience with children and/or adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred. Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment preferred. Computer skills including experience with electronic medical record for consumer charting preferred.

Residential Technician
