Mental Health & Wellness

At Bay Arenac Behavioral Health we are committed to collaboration with other organizations to encourage wellness, to promote prevention, and to increase health literacy.

Maintaining good mental health is an important part of staying well.  It is just as important as taking care of your physical health.  That is why BABH is committed to educating the community about mental health!  You can often find us out at local health fairs and events.  If you see us, stop by and say hello.  You are sure to find some great information to help you stay well. You can always visit or call for more information on mental health and wellness!

Stress reduction, caring for your physical being, eating right, having good sleeping habits, reducing your caffeine intake, and not smoking or using illegal drugs are just a few ways you can stay well.

Maintaining your health is important when you have a behavioral health condition as well.  Mental Health America offers a wonderful article entitled “Taking Good Care of Yourself.” Your recovery journey is personal.  Taking opportunities to evaluate how you can support that journey and how you might want the support of others along the way can be very valuable to your recovery.

Mindfulness has been cited as a practice that has positive benefits for everyone from children to older adults!
