Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health provides a complete range of behavioral health services and supports to children and adolescents who have serious emotional disturbances, adults with serious and persistent mental illness, and adults and children with developmental disabilities.
Services are available to those within our community who are eligible as defined by the Michigan Mental Health Code and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Persons who are eligible for our services must meet the following criteria and fall into one of the priority population categories listed below.
Criteria:

- Resident of Bay or Arenac county

- Persons who are on Medicaid or Healthy Michigan

- Children who receive Healthy Kids

- Low income persons without insurance

- Persons with private insurance who need a specialty mental health service
- Be a member of a Priority Population (See definitions below)
Priority Populations:

- Adults with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness

- Adults and Children with Developmental Disabilities

- Children and Adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance

- Adults and Youth with Substance Abuse Issues
- Services are provided without regard to race, color, nationality, religious or political beliefs, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or ability to pay.
Payment for Services:
Services are free to those with Medicaid. All others are assigned an ability-to-pay based on a sliding fee scale according to their income.
